If you enjoy playing with careers or want your Sim to have the ability to be self-employed (writer, painter, gardener, etc.) or like the idea of being more involved with your Sim's actual work, then you would like Ambitions. It added many new professions and self-employment, and added new education career. You can follow your Sim on the job as firefighter, architect, stylist, spirit hunter, private investigator. It added a salon, fire station, inventions, junkyard, sculpting, and a consignment shop to sell your art and various other things. The time machine is an awesome invention!

If you enjoy playing with non-traditional Sims, Supernatural is an excellent EP that added fairies, witches, genies (if you have Pets), and werewolves; enhanced vampires and ghosts; and allowed selection of non-human Sims at creation. It also added a lunar cycle, some interesting new venues, alchemy skill, the ability to grind your own gemstones, the fortuneteller career (mystic and psychic branches), and a consignment shop that is open 24/7. EDIT: Since you have Late Night, when I got Supernatural, it gave me the option to opt out of the celebrity system and/or remove celebrities altogether, YAY! It also added several new cool recipes and plants like mushrooms, ghost chilis, and honey.

If you enjoy the family aspect of Sims and want that more enhanced, then Generations is good. It added the daycare profession, which your Sim does at home, and several new toys for the tots and children. It also added after-school activities, boarding schools, pranks, discipline, learning/teaching to drive, sleepovers, and teen parties while parents are away.

If you crave realistic weather, they did an excellent job with Seasons. It added seasons (of course lol), very realistic weather, new recipe pumpkin pie, community festivals, new parties, trick or treating, snowboarding, rollerskating, iceskating, flowers to pick for simoleons, slow dancing, online dating, egg hunts, kissing booths, eating contests, tanning, swimming in the ocean.

I'm not as enthusiastic about Pets or Showtime. But between the two, Pets is the much better. It adds wildlife (turtles, lizards, etc.) that you catch and keep or sell, cats & dogs & horses you raise from babies or adopt as adults, an equestrian center to do races and breed horses, a training field for racing and jumping horses, new dog and cat parks.

Showtime wasn't worth the money, IMO. It added three new professions that you basically have to "babysit" your Sim so they don't bomb on stage as they do their constant gigs, and after playing awhile, the stage performances are extremely repetitive. If you play more than one Sim, it's difficult to do that because you have to really keep on top of what the performer Sim does.

And IMO, no stuff pack is really worth the money. The 70s, 80s, 90s pack was especially disappointing. They barely added anything, and they had SO many possibilities that they just didn't bother with.

I'm looking forward to University Life (baristas, brewing teas, "herbs" [drugs], and a ton of new social things) but Island Paradise? I'm just about beside myself, lol, waiting for it to come out in June! Houseboats, speedboats, jet skis, traveling between islands, living in the middle of the *ocean* if you want and not tied to any land, ladders, fishing off the boats, scuba diving with (they promise) sea life and not a rabbit hole, snorkeling...

I'm in need of a list of things that'll help me take care of a baby boy. I'm a teen still in high school. Please give me a list of things I've have to do and things I'll need to take care of my son who will come into this world this August of 2013. Please NO crazy answers. Thanks.

I'm a teen parent as well to a baby boy :) receiving blankets works wonders so get lots of them! Bottles and a few pacifiers if you plan on giving your son one. I say a few because they tend to disappear alot lol. Get nice soft blankets as well and bibs. I would become a toys r us member and recieve emails for right now they are having a sale on wipes 448 ct for only $13! Stock up on wipes and diapers. For the diapers don't bother buying newborn unless your son is close to like 7lbs. Also you wouldn't want to buy the big box of newborn size diapers because they tend to grow out of them quicker. When you do buy diapers stock up in all different sizes helps alot! Clothes are very important. Marshall's has nice clothes but always look for sales. Onesies will also become your best friend and don't buy the baby gown thing for them to sleep in for its a pain in the ass. I found night outfits with zipperes much easier for when my son woke up in the middle of the night. You will need a crib, bassinet if you choose not to co sleep with your son. I have a changing table but barely use it for I co sleep and its so much easier to change him on my bed. Socks you will also need as well. Relax I know this may seem like a long list to a teen because I know it did too me! Just each day or week go out and get something you know you really need. Pack up on baby soap and get a baby bathtub as well. Get lotion bath towels and washcloths. Another thing you will need is nail clippers for a baby. Toys r us sells one with a magnify glass on it so you know what your doing, helps alot. If you are thinking about getting a pack n play, don't buy the complex one. They are expensive and a pain in the ass. Buy a nice cheap one and save money that you could put somewhere else. If you plan on not co sleeping buy a mattress protector for the crib and spare one too. I would go to wic now and apply they really can help out alot. Catch a lot of deals on baby water and formula as well. Get a swing and bouncer and stock up on batteries now. I would buy a travel system, Walmart has nice ones and they can be cheap. I hope I helped and congrats on your son. Don't listen to the people out there that say teens shouldn't have kids. People don't understand that shit tends to happen and I say fuck them all

yeah theres a high demand for nurses and sooner as well as the baby boomers age. i find the current nurse system really redundant, lots of paper pushing as well as very little each nurse does. a physical therpy nurse and occupational therapy nurse can be consolidated into 1 since both are real basic. as more baby boomers come into the picture then nursing companies would do something to consolidate the field so nurses does more work than travel.

Is India really a 3rd world, developing country?

I would reeealllyyyy like an answer from some sort of a history expert
Or someone that just really knows what theyâre talking about.
Because Iâm 17 years old. I came from India to the U.S when I was 7.
And well, in my textbooks in school it shows dead bodies laying on the ground and beggars everywhere
And thatâs really a small portion or certain cities/providences in India. They make India seem like the poorest underprivileged nation in the world and as if the entire nation consists of small villages and shacks with no electricity. I mean I donât want to be bias just because Iâm from there. I would really like to know the truth. My AP world history teacher said itâs one of the richest nations on earth in 2013 due to it military power, its technology, their education, their culture and the successful people that have migrated here.
Where as, to foreigners India seem likes like pure filth! And while that maybe the case in certain distinct areas, every nation has itâs ups and downs. Iâm not trying to root for India nor am I against it, but honestly, is it still a 3rd world country. It has really become advanced from the last time I went there in â12.
However I agree that India has its own crazy issues. A five year old girl getting raped, a tourist getting gang raped, a girl poured acid on her face by her father because he didnât want a girl, a baby girl being sold on face book, bombs going off due to radical Muslims. I know itâs not utopia Im aware of that.

But we have everything that America does. Literally. When it comes to the environment, education, maybe more culture and differentiation in foods, religious shrines for all sorts of unique religions, beautiful clothing, luxurious amentities that can all be offered in the U.S. too.
So, what do you think?

No it's really not. It has changed dramatically from what it was a decade ago. It's definately not a 3rd world country. It's a fast developing economy. It's one of the world's richest & powerful (defense) countries. As you might know it's a huge country (7th largest) it will take quite sometime to get it on par with other developed countries. Major cities are world class with modern infrastructure and educated people. The problem lies in the villages where illiteracy and poverty dominates, but that's all fast changing and will catchup with the cities in the next few years. Literacy rate has increased quite a lot compared to what it was a decade ago. Poverty is still an issue as the population is humongous. Another factor hindering the growth of the nation is CORRUPTION. All the other problems would be overcome in the next decade or so but it's very difficult to tackle corruption which has permeated into the system from the lowest of the scales to the highest. But again this a common problem. I have travelled to many developed and developing countries and India is certainly among the best 'developing' nations. However, it still has a long way to go to be amongst the advanced economies.Whatever the way it is, but there is this certain thing about India you will never find anywhere in the world. The people, culture, values, festivities, languages, cusines, geographical and demographical diversity, it feels vibrant! There's so many things to be proud about this nation, but the negative aspects are always highlighted especially by the snobs from the so called "developed" nations.

Car dealership lied about the state of the vehicle ...what can i do about it?

We live in Texas and we were shopping online for Kia Soul, and on autotrader site we found an awesome deal for brand new kia soul for the price on 13.990$, it had pictures there from the vehicle and the VIN number. We ran a check on the VIN number on carhistory.us.org and it came back that the vehicle was in perfect condition. So we called the dealership (internet sales) and they checked our credits and all that and we made arrangements to go to Oklahoma city, where the dealership was located. Now...we traveled 6 hours in one direction, with rented car, and a one year old baby, so everyone who has done this knows how uncomfortable it can be for everyone, specially the baby. When we arrived there, they pretended that they dont know who we are, when they found us in the system, they showed us the car which was all holes from hail damage. Now .... again, how can a car whos vin number states its in perfect condition ends up being in terrible condition?
I got angry as hell and did some serious yelling cause if i knew that they were selling us that car i wouldnt have put my child through all that, not to mention the expensive rent car (cause its way more expensive in one direction - 198$).
Now they are trying to sell us another car, for a price that is higher then this.
Is this a case of false advertising or not? And if so....what can i do?
Can i make the dealership come true with their original deal? Should they offer me the car at the price which was originally posted?

We went through such a big ordeal that i cant even start to explain :-( i would appreciate any advice

None of the VIN-check sites can guarantee anything. If you notice, even CarFax (the worst of the lot) has changed their TV ads to reflect that they can only report what is reported to them. None of the reports hold any kind of legal water, either.

There is no guarantee of the sale until paperwork is signed and you drive off in the vehicle (pending lender approval). You have the right to turn down the vehicle offered (you did), and choose another or move on.

If so, it doesn't mention why they marked the car down so much, but... they don't legally have to. The fact that they didn't tell you about hail damage was dirty, but you're not out anything in the process. You would've had to travel that far to look at the vehicle, anyway.

Does pregnancy allow for any alteration in the processing of a fiance K-2 visa?

I am a US citizen and my fiance lives in the UK. We have applied for a K-2 fiance visa so that he can travel to the US and we can get married within the 90 day window. However, I am pregnant and the due date is the 2nd June 2013. Our visa application is still being processed in the US and it seems increasingly doubtful that he will receive his visa in time to travel to the US for the birth of our son.

Is there any way that he can travel to the US and the K-2 fiance visa can finished being processed while he is here? He cannot miss the birth of our son and I don't want him to have to leave the baby and I after his birth. Does anyone have any advice they could offer in this scenario.

no, the system isn't responsive enough to even react to that information. so, once you put in the paperwork, it just keeps moving forward in the big line until it's your turn. of course, if he's a citizen of the UK, he doesn't need a visa to visit. however, given your K petition for him, they may not believe he's simply a tourist who wants to visit and go back, but it is at least possible they'd let him visit if he's honest about it.

Hi. I can't never understand this ovulation thing.

For example, i have my period on the 29/10/2013 and it ends on the 5/11/2013 (it usually last for about 7-8days) and my next period is due (approx) on the 28/12/2013.. Does that mean I have a 23 days cycle? (Start counting on the 6/11/2013, first day after period) am i right?

How bout the ovulation/fertile days?

MENSTRUATION.
Your cycle length is determined by counting the first day of your period to the first day of your next period. If you have a regular period including allowing 2-4 days either way, then you will know your cycle length. Most women have a cycle length between 21-45 days in length. Every woman is different. A regular period is one that comes every month, despite being a few days early or late.
An irregular period is a period that can be missed for 1-5 months, then have a period.
A textbook cycle length is 28 days, but its completely normal for a woman to have a cycle length between 21-45 days. Some women are even out of this range.

You had your last period 29/10/13. If your period is due 28/12/13, this would make your cycle 30 days in length.

How do you know that your period is due 28/12/13? Do you have an app telling you this, or do you count the days ahead?

Look back over your periods for the last few months and count the days between the first day of your periods to the first day of your next period. See how many days your cycle length has been over a few months and this should give you a rough cycle length.

OVULATION:
Ovulation is the split second process of an egg being released from the ovary. This happens ONCE day a month. Ovulation day is different for every woman depending on their cycle length.
Ovulation is most commonly between day 10 - day 25 of a cycle, depending on cycle length.
Textbook ovulation states day 14, but this is not for everyone. If a person has a short cycle length they will ovulate before day 14, if they have a long cycle length, they will ovulate later than day 14.

Ovulation is most commonly 12-14 days prior to the day your period is due. Please note, this is NOT day 12-14 of your cycle, but 12-14 days prior to your period due date. This is a rough guide and is not always accurate.

FERTILE DAYS:
Your fertile days are the 4 days leading up to ovulation day, ovulation day and the day after ovulation day. 6 Fertile days a month.

Sperm can survive inside the fallopian tubes for up to 7 days, more commonly and most likely no longer than 5 days.

An egg once released from the ovary is only alive and able to be penetrated by sperm for a limited time only, usually no more than 48 hours after being released from the ovary. After this, the egg is dead, it dissolves and you cannot get pregnant.

NO EGG = NO BABY.

An egg must be alive for sperm to penetrate the egg. Sperm penetrating egg = conception.
Once sperm penetrate the egg, the egg divides/multiplies as it travels the fallopian tube and implants into the uterus. It continues to multiply/divide and forms in the baby.
So, if sperm do not meet egg, there is no baby.

-----> DO NOT rely on an app for safe sex days or ovulation days. It is a computer program. It can be wrong. An app is a computer system, programmed with dates. Your body is individual, it does not run like the app. Many things can affect ovulation and your periods and an app computer program can change/alter or even detect these.

Ovulation kits are available to work out when you ovulate, tracking/recording your cervical mucous and your basal temp for a few months can show where in your cycle you ovulate.

I have had a 28 day cycle for 20+ years, and I have always ovulated on day 16/ day 17 of my cycle.
Apps, computer programs tell me that I ovulate on day 14, but I never have and still don't. I have had 3 pregnancies, and my cycle and ovulation is still the same. If I went by an app for ovulation, 2-3 days out is a big difference and pregnancy would most likely not come easily.

Unless you know your exact ovulation there is no safe/unsafe day to have sex. You need to work out when you ovulate in order to find out when you are fertile or not (safe/unsafe). But really, what can be your safe days, could be unsafe if you ovulate early or late for some reason, and this is very possible as ovulation is affected by many internal/external factors.

If you are thinking about using ovulation to determine safe/unsafe days to have sex, then you could be playing with fire. If you don't want to get pregnant, then make sure you use a condom and use another form of birth control --> oral pill, injection, implant, patch etc etc.

It's fine to keep a track and learn your body, your cycle and your ovulation, but never assume you are safe to have unprotected sex as its common for women to ovulate up to 4 days early or late depending on what factors have affected them.

None of the VIN-check sites can guarantee anything. If you notice, even CarFax (the worst of the lot) has changed their TV ads to reflect that they can only report what is reported to them. None of the reports hold any kind of legal water, either.

There is no guarantee of the sale until paperwork is signed and you drive off in the vehicle (pending lender approval). You have the right to turn down the vehicle offered (you did), and choose another or move on.

If so, it doesn't mention why they marked the car down so much, but... they don't legally have to. The fact that they didn't tell you about hail damage was dirty, but you're not out anything in the process. You would've had to travel that far to look at the vehicle, anyway.

(And, of course a VIN would come back without a scratch on their site... it's new... and none of these sites tell you anything about a vehicle's condition, which is a relative item. They only tell you reported service history, number of owners, and comparable market worth.)
