pram/pushchair/travel system?

snowqueen

what pushchair, pram or travel system would you advise for someone who is really young themself? it needs to be suitable for public transport, stylish and suitable for a newborn baby. what pram pushchair or travel system do you think is best? any links would also be good.

Answer
I would recommend something that is quite compact for pushing up and down on buses etc, ive seen lots and lots of lovely prams around. My friend was also in a similar situation to yourself and she opted for the Bugaboo Bee (out of john lewis) and she LOVES IT!! xx

Where can i get a double travel system pram?

Lisa.xx

Im expecting twins and i want a double travel system pram but i cant find one anywhere.
ive tried, kiddicare, argos, mother and baby, mothercare, mamma and pappas.

Answer
Not sure what you mean by "pram" but I use the double snap and go stroller. I bought mine with the Graco safeseats from Craig's list, whole thing (2 car seats, 2 bases, and double stroller) was $150 and in like new condition.

Can't find the right baby travel system!?

Itsbeenalo

People say they are useless, but I'm still looking for a great travel set. However, I want something versatile and it seems that what i'm looking for is nonexistent.

I would like something that can go from a stroller to a pram, and then to a car seat. Lightweight would be nice. Easy to fold, shade for the baby, easy handling. Affordable would be nice, but I have a feeling it won't be.

I just know that sometimes I'm going to want a pram to keep a good watch on my baby, a stroller for walking and trips to the park maybe, and then the car seat would be nice so I wouldn't have to wake my baby to get him/her to the car.

Color doesn't particularly matter to me.

Anybody have anything?

Answer
Hey :)

I have the Micralite Toro ready for my little one to come and i see it as really good, i have the pram, stroller and the carseat, all for £440! Not sure how much it would be over in the US though!! It is a lightweight frame and folds down into basically nothing!!!! I love it so much already!!

Good luck hun xxx

Can someone recommend a good pram/travel system?

Janey

Hi, i would like somke advice on choosing a pram/travel system,
I have spent a long time looking but just don't know which to choose. I want one that you can put the car seat straight onto the chasis.
I really fancy the mamas and papas ultima 8 in 1.
Thanks

This one looks ideal cos it does everything, even though it's a bit pricy.

Answer
It's gorgeous! I want it too. Can't have it for new baby as have 12 month old too and had to get a double stroller!

Travel system stroller VS buying car seat and stroller separate?

baby travel system prams on Mee-Go Pramette 2 in 1 Travel System in blue - Buy at Online4baby

I'm just wondering..
Did you even use the car seat with the stroller?
If you did was it worth it?

How would I stroll my baby around when he's really little little without it?

I'm just thinking it would be cheaper to buy them separately.
What do you think?

Answer
Ok... So i really think it depends on the situation :) The reason that I purchased the travel system is that I live an hour out of town and was thinking if bubby is sleeping all that way it would be great to not have to wake her up when we got to our destination. The only downfall I found with the travel system was that the carseat is only usable in the rearward facing position, and that it cannot be used for a baby over 9kg. As we have 2 vehicles anyhow we got the carseat for the travel system and another convertible carseat that is suitable 'til 18kg, So at least when bubby reaches the age where she is supposed to be in the forward facing position, we don't need to rush out and buy one. In the travel system I got, the pram is a whole unit... with removable seat and the carseat is a whole unit also with a removable seat, to use the carseat in the stroller, you remove the attatched stroller seat and replace it with the carseat attatchment. To be honest I think it would be cheaper in the long run to buy them seperately, as you could get a 0-4 carseat in the first place. But, the travel system is really adorable :) and bubby can go undisturbed from car to stroller if snoozing :)

I am newly pregnant and I want a parent facing stroller but can't find one. Where are they sold?

I have never shopped for strollers before, so forgive me for being a little confused. I want the type of stroller that the baby faces you(not a pram) but sits in a car seat type thing but is up close you. What is this type of stroller called and is this a feature that regular strollers have and that the seat can be either put regular or up towards you? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please be nice...

Answer
They are called Travel Systems. Target, Wal-Mart, Babies R Us and many other stores sell them.

How many weeks were you when you starting buying all your baby clothes, dummies, pram, cot, bedding etc?? Or when do you think is a suitable time? Thanks in advance!

Answer
I bought a couple small things early on just to make it feel a little more real that I was pregnant. We didn't start buying anything else until we found out that we were having a girl at 18 weeks. After that we started buying some clothes and other things. We bought the stroller/car seat travel system around 20 weeks and a pack and play as well. We also started buying diapers as they're on sale and we're at the point now where we have almost everything we need short of the crib and a few small items which I'm sure we'll get at our baby shower. I'd say once you find out what the baby's sex is is a good time to start buying.

Can anyone recommend a cheap twin buggy suitable for newborn twins?

Sarah

I am pregnant with twins and I have been searching the internet for prams for newborn twins they are all sooo expensive does anyone know of a cheap side by side carrycot twin pram or one with 2 carrycots? As this is doing my head in :) thanks in advance ...Sarah

Answer
First wheels city twin do a good twin pushchair, it can be used with carry cots and maxi cosi car seats to make it a travel system. Brand new it will cost £429.99 but that is only for the pram from kiddies kingdom it will cost £134.95 to purchase the carrycots. The seat units can face both ways which is great for when the babies have grown out their carrycots it means they can still face you.

If you want a bargain then have a look on ebay, you will find the exact same pushchair but with all the accesories for a good price

Good luck xx

P.S. My best friend has this pram for her twins and loves it.
