Q. My baby girl is due Apr. 11 2012. I want to get her the Graco Alano Travel System-Melanie.
Anyone use this and have pro's and con's for it ?

Answer
I have this and I absolutely hate it! My daughter is young so i like her facing me when using the stroller and it is a nightmare to steer! I highly recommend the cicco cortina travel system. the car seat is super easy to use and adjust and is second or third in safety ratings!! the stroller is also very user friendly!! they are great for the price!!

should i go for the travel system or the light weight stroller?

im 5 months along and im starting my registry, i am having trouble on decided what stroller to get. I want something that's light weight seeing as though i don't have a car and i will be traveling by bus all the time. I also want something that my child can get a real use out of... the particular model i say at babies r us is fine up to 40 pounds. So will i need another stroller after that? The heavier travel systems seem to last longer but will be very inconvenient. Also im 6 feet tall and i hate umbrella strollers and things that will make me strain my back.
i want something that will really accommodate me, and have the best safety for my child. I just don't want to constantly keep buying things i don't really need please help soooo overwhelmed

Answer
You might try the Britax B-Agile or the Baby Jogger City Mini. Both are light weight, fold quickly and easily, and can accommodate an infant car seat for those first six months.

If you're going to get the City Mini, wait til 2012 to get it because it is getting a huge number of improvements in its features. If you want to buy before 2012, then get the B-Agile because it has all those improvements already and is, in my opinion, a superior product.

The reviews of these two strollers include video, measurements, lots of photos, descriptions and testimonials as well as where to find a great deal.

Do you think a light pink baby travel system will get too dirty?

I have seen a travel system that I want if I have a girl. It's a graco and it's light pink. Would it get dirty fast because it is light pink? Or should I buy another color?
I don't plan on having anymore children.

Answer
I bought a dark blue Graco stroller when I was pregnant with my first. We got a lot of use out of it! Then when baby #2 showed up we bought a dark blue tandem stroller which I hated! That thing didn't turn well. Anyway we used the first stroller with the second baby too. And it seems no matter how clean you try to keep it, if you're using it A LOT like we did it always gets a bit dirty. I'd have to think that on pink it would really show more. I'm guilty of looking at a pink one myself now~~my kids are 8 & 6 so I long ago sold all my baby stuff and now I'm pregnant again!!

Even though I like this pink one I don't dare buy it. I have no idea what I'm having yet, plus I plan to be pregnant at least one more time after this and if that's a boy, I don't think he'll appreciate the pink stroller!

Do you think a light pink baby travel system will get too dirty?sk?

Answer
Do you plan on having any more kids after this one? if so I dont recommend buying pink because if you were to have a boy after, I doubt you would want to use it. I'm having a little girl and went with gender neutral so I can use it again with my next child. How dirty it would get depends. My trunk can get kind of dirty sometimes with everything going in and out (especailly dirt on the stroller wheels) so you might find it would get dirty in there. Its up to you.
